| Hansa
"In a time when politics were unstable and cultures were disheveled, Hansa found a common ground to work together. In this philosophy, Hansa One's goal is to use cultures & languages as common ground for the global business arena, no matter what direction the world may go."

Hansa One was named after the medieval Hanseatic league, an alliance of trading guilds that established and maintained trade over the entire North Sea and Baltic Sea regions, as well as hundreds of miles inland along the major rivers in the area between the 12th and 16th centuries.
The Hanseatic traders were essentially the business people of their time that formed the League to provide common defense, safe port maintenance and establish tariff agreements.
The need for such an association was unquestionable: at that time, seafaring merchants had no navies to protect their cargos, only a handful of ports had authorities to regulate their use and there were no international organizations to regulate trade and tariffs.
In spite of the fact that Hansa was primarily economic in nature, by the 14th century it has acquired significant political and military power. The Baltic region became a viable economic unit in the global market and active participant in European politics via the relationships that had been fostered by the Hanseatic League .
